Have you always dreamed of owning your own racehorse and winning competitions? Until recently, it was only a reality for the wealthy elite. Horses are bred and sold for sometimes hundreds of thousands of euros. Why? These horses often have a unique pedigree and are the best racing horses in the world. By participating in prestigious competitions, these racehorses are a walking (read: walking) money machine. Not just a sweet cuddly horse, but a substantial investment.
Thanks to blockchain technology, everyone can now invest digitally in his or her unique horse. And yes, a physical horse of flesh and blood. Each horse gets a digital copy on the blockchain and is beaten as NFT. The advantage? When the physical variant of your horse wins a competition, you also win a prize. No hundreds of thousands of euros or dollars investment, but an affordable NFT with many advantages. Discover everything you need to know about Silks.
What is P2E Metaverse?
We have now seen the developments of both play-to-earn and the emergence of the metaverse. But the latest trend is that we combine all these success factors in one interactive digital world.
Play-To-Earn (P2E)
What was once so revolutionary now seems almost normal a year later. The fact that you can earn crypto by participating in a game is uncharted territory for many, a lucrative business for some. Silks is a P2E metaverse where you can earn money in many ways, even without doing anything. How? Read more in this blog!
The Metaverse
The Metaverse, the whole world is talking about it. We can no longer do without and this development is the building block of our digital future. In the Metaverse, we can not only own objects digitally thanks to Web 3.0, but we can also create a whole new society and economy. Not only is the game element present at Silks, but we can also discover this world, connect with each other, and much more in the future. Because the makers have big plans!
What is Silks?
Silks is the first P2E Metaverse on Ethereum that mirrors the real world of thoroughbred racing horses. No made-up avatars or generated traits, just a digital racehorse based on real-world characteristics and qualities. A one-to-one copy.
Jockey avatar
No horse racing without a suitable jockey. As many as 5,000 jockeys are available in Silks, each with their own outfit and traits. These colors are also shown on the horse itself and during virtual competitions. Not unimportant of course that you also have a nice-looking jockey. Dress to impress!
This avatar reflects your identity and personality in the metaverse and is your digital ownership of your in-game assets. Before you can buy your digital horse, you must first have a suitable jockey in your possession. Two separate investments, but then you also have something. These jockeys, not only ride these horses but will also have additional opportunities in the metaverse in the future.
Horse Industry
Horse racing is a unique world associated with the elite. Wealthy and influential people gather at these exclusive events to often wager hefty amounts on their favorite racehorse. Does your horse win? Then you not only had a nice afternoon, but you also earned a lot of money!
These horse races are a multi-billion dollar business where real racehorses are bred and sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars, depending on origin and pedigree, among other things. After all, everyone wants the best racehorse. The better your horse, the more races you win, and the more money you earn. Your racehorse is therefore a true investment. But this is of course only for the rich and famous. Well, especially for the rich then.
To make the world of these top horses accessible to the general public, Silks is launching their P2E Metaverse. No physical horses and maintenance, but a 1-on-1 digital version of your favorite horse. This way, every time your horse wins a competition in the real world, you also earn a share of the prize money!
Silks Horses
Silks is an NFT collection of 10,000coins on the Ethereum blockchain. These horses are America’s top 1% thoroughbred racehorses. These NFTs thus follow the daily life of these horses. Where they come from, what pedigree they have and even how their training goes. The more valuable and expensive a real horse, the more expensive this NFT will be.
And the foals that are born thanks to the breeding program of these race horses? These are also included in Silks. Every year Silks introduces a new batch of qualified racehorses. All information is put on the blockchain in real-time and verified by the Silks community, thanks to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. These horses are mined and sold as NFT, in a traditional way. This means that you never know in advance which horse you will get. Everyone pays the same price for their horse.
And horses that are retiring? They can still continue to race digitally. Thanks to the in-game algorithm, retired horses can compete against each other in order to still receive sufficient rewards and contribute to the ecosystem.
Fractionalized NFTs
Racehorses are a valuable investment, this can also be the case with this digital variant. That is why it is possible to make this investment together with 9 others. Thanks to fractionalized NFTs, you can buy your favorite horse together with friends, acquaintances, or other interested parties and share ownership. This also means shared profits of course!
Metaverse land
In addition to the P2E principle, you can also buy land in this metaverse. And this land, all unique NFTs, you then need to both take care of your horse and generate a lot of income. Like the physical world, a horse needs shelter and ample spaces to graze and train. The Silk metaverse consists of 202,500 hectares of land with each land having an area of 450×450.
Stable
Provided you cannot just put your horse in the hallway, you need a stable for the basic needs of your racehorse. A stable is an estate of no less than 10 contiguous plots on which you can build your own stable. You can house up to 10 horses in each stable. And beware, because you can’t build an infinite number of stables in the metaverse, but up to a maximum of 10% of all racehorses.
Horse farm
Do you want to go big and find a stable too small? Go for your own horse farm! This is an area of 10 hectares where you can build a maximum of 10 stables and therefore keep a maximum of 100 horses.
Earning model
As a horse owner, you naturally earn prize money when your horse wins competitions in the physical world. But there’s more. If you own a stable or a farm, you will earn a fixed percentage of this prize money. Horse owners can stake their horses in your stable or your farm, while you are generously rewarded for doing so. As the owner of your stable or farm, you can therefore also be selective in which horses you welcome or not, because the better your horses, the greater your rewards. Silks combine all the elements of GameFi with these real-world developments.
Tokenomics
Silks has a dual token system consisting of the SLK token and the STT token:
$SLK
$SLK is Silks’ governance token. The community earns this token when they contribute to the ecosystem. This includes validating and minting real-world information on the blockchain, an essential part of Silks. With these tokens, they get voting rights and they can help determine the future and vote on important issues.
The token has a total supply of 500 million and is distributed as follows:
- 5% reserve
- 5% advisors
- 20% ecosystem
- 30% Team
- 40% Players
$STT token
In addition, we have the in-game token $STT. All trades and rewards are paid in $STT. It has a supply of no less than 5 billion tokens but is tradable against the governance token $SLK. In this way, participants can still help determine the future of Silks and vote.
The Team
The Silks team are no strangers to this industry. The team consists of more than 25 people in total, but here’s a look at the main members:
Troy Levy | Founder | He also owns Tropical Racing, an American thoroughbred horse breeding and racing company. He has a total of more than 20 years of experience in this industry.
Dan Nissanoff | Co-founder | Dan is an internet and blockchain start-up entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in designing and developing business companies on a large scale

Roadmap
Silks is still in its infancy and has an ambitious roadmap. Combining the P2E with a dynamic metaverse is no easy feat:
April 2022 – Avatar Collection
In April of 2022, Silks launched the Genesis Avatar Collection, the NFT collection of 10,000 colorful and unique jockeys ready to hit the racing fields. . Not only are these necessary to buy a Silk Horse, but they will also give you more in-game rewards and exclusive benefits in the metaverse in the future.
Summer 2022 – Horse Collection
Summer 2022 is known for the inauguration, as they call it, of their very first Silks Horses. This is the first time in history that these exclusive racehorses have been given a digital version, which accurately reflects their own background and achievements. Win in-game tokens when they win matches and receive additional rewards when they get foals.
Q3 – 2022: P2E games
Let the games begin! From this moment on you can buy land and horses and you can start building your own stables or farms. Discover which horses are worth the most based on their real-life performance and start the negotiations. At this stage of the game, it can be crucial to position yourself to generate as much income as possible.
Q1 -2023: Silk Metaverse
The Silks Metaverse opens to the general public. Buy the necessary equipment to take care of your horse, buy and sell land, stables, or even an entire farm, and look for as many opportunities as possible to play the game lucratively. The further the game progresses, the more decentralized this P2E metaverse will become.
2023: Silks Global
Now that the foundation has been laid and this P2E Metaverse is live, it is time for international and global expansion. Silks want to grow exponentially with a strong community and further democratize the world of thoroughbred racehorses.
Conclusion
The world of thoroughbred racing horses is an exclusive world that is hardly accessible to the average person. Ruled by power and status, it is a niche controlled and run by a bureaucracy of powerful and influential individuals and parties, until now. Silks want to democratize the world of these thoroughbred racehorses by providing access for everyone through the development of NFTs, the Metaverse, and Web 3.0.
Not only can you own your favorite horse as an NFT and win prizes when your thoroughbred racehorse wins a competition, but you can also buy virtual land in the Silks metaverse and build farms and stables here. In this way, you will receive a share of the prize pool of the winning horse that is on your farm or stable. A lot of ways to generate passive income!
